Payments add extra complexity that breaks standard SaaS playbooks.

Most finance consultants understand horizontal SaaS. Few specialize in usage-based billing — which requires deep knowledge of metering, Stripe Connect, payment architecture, and interchange economics. We model your business as it actually works.

Every Stripe payout reconciled to usage

Every Stripe payout reconciled to usage, transaction, license, and contract — so your revenue reflects what was actually consumed.

Forecasts built for usage-based models

Forecasts built around transaction volume, minimum commits, overages, and seat expansions — by client or cohort for precision.

Growth modeled across sales-led and PLG

Growth investments modeled across sales-led, product-led, and hybrid motions — so you know which channel drives the highest value.

Questions we hear from B2B payments founders

How is Bridges different from other fractional CFO firms for SaaS companies?

Most fractional CFO firms serve simple subscription businesses. Bridges specializes in B2B payments and SaaS companies where revenue is more complex — spanning payments, metered usage, committed contracts, seat expansions, and hybrid billing models where standard playbooks fall short.

Our team has direct experience with usage-based billing, Stripe reconciliation, AI token consumption, and ASC 606 compliance across multi-element arrangements. We don't learn your business model on your dime. Strategy and books come from one team — CFO, FP&A, and controller always aligned — so nothing slips through the cracks.

Among our current and past clients are companies like Kabbage (lending and banking services for SMBs), Collectly (RCM and healthcare SaaS), StimLabs (life sciences), and over 30 others with complex pricing and high transaction volume.

What services does Bridges offer to B2B SaaS companies?

For B2B payments, we connect cash, metrics, forecasts, and operating decisions. Financial Planning starts from $5,000/month; Strategic Finance starts from $10,000/month and includes all of Financial Planning with deeper analysis. CFO Leadership starts from $15,000/month and includes Strategic Finance, fractional CFO, board and investor reporting, and data-room readiness. Controller services are separate.

How does Bridges handle revenue recognition for B2B SaaS companies?

Revenue recognition is one of the most mishandled areas in B2B payments. Three issues come up consistently.

Monthly commits and prepaid consumption under ASC 606: if your contracts include a mix of committed fees, metered usage, and overages, you need to allocate transaction price correctly across performance obligations. Getting this wrong distorts your P&L and creates problems in diligence, compliance, and operations.

Gross vs. net revenue: if your platform processes payments on behalf of customers, you need to determine whether to recognize full payment volume, total payment fees, or only your net take rate.

Stripe reconciliation: Stripe batches payouts and withholds fees, meaning bank deposits rarely match invoices. We reconcile every payout to the underlying customer transactions, processor fees, and refunds — and ensure the correct revenue entry hits your books each month.

How much does fractional CFO support cost for a B2B SaaS company?

Financial Planning starts from $5,000/month, best below $3M ARR before Series A. Strategic Finance starts from $10,000/month, deeper and cumulative, best above $3M ARR. CFO Leadership starts from $15,000/month for post-Series A board accountability; fractional CFO is included only there. Cash books start from $1,750/month and accrual books from $2,750/month, priced separately. Accrual books are preferable when you are preparing a fundraise or have closed an institutional round, when your board or investors expect accrual reporting, or when you have deferred revenue, annual contracts billed upfront, or usage-based billing. Modeling and financial diligence each start from $10,000, taking 2-4 weeks.

What does the CFO engagement look like once we start?

Most founders have working numbers within 30 days of the first call.

  • Week 1 — we review your books, Stripe, and billing stack, and identify what needs attention first.
  • Weeks 1–4 — we clean up the books, convert to accrual basis, and establish proper revenue recognition.
  • Weeks 2–6 — we stand up SaaS reporting, analyze unit economics, and build scenarios to guide GTM spend.

By Week 6, we aim to deliver accurate numbers, a financial model, and set a recurring cadence.

Touchpoints depend on your tier. Advisory CFO clients get a monthly CFO session. CFO + FP&A clients meet bi-weekly. CFO + FP&A + Exit clients have weekly CFO access plus board meeting support. Between sessions, direct Slack access — most questions answered the same day.

Who would be on our team if we start working with Bridges?

We work concurrently with 10 to 15 companies because Tim Salikhov serves as CFO on every engagement. Controllers and financial analysts support each engagement. Fractional CFO and board and investor reporting are included only in Tier 3 CFO Leadership.
